Shaoyu Wang is a design engineer exploring cutting-edge technology and the relationship between people and nature. His research focuses on two main areas: the study of bio-likeness to explore innovative solutions to environmental issues, and drawing inspiration from nature and creature to explore creative haptic tangible interactions. He attempts to piece together fragments of the future.
Project Tentacle, he created a device that can recognize human emotions using computer vision. Chameleon, through AI style transfer, offers a new inspiration collection experience, exploring the impact of AI on human behaviour. The Albeit studio he co-founded launched the world’s first PDRC solid cooling module, which is an environmentally friendly, simple, and deployable solution for emergency heatwave preparation made.
Shaoyu Wang’s latest project, BioThreshold, proposes an innovative dyeing method that offers an environmentally friendly, pattern-controllable dyeing technology, allowing bacteria and designers to design together. This is a technological innovation aimed at the currently highly polluting dyeing industry.
Shaoyu Wang is passionate about tangible designs that integrate with nature. He hopes to socialize cutting-edge technology and create a vision for the future.
