Yuqing Wang

Innovation Design Engineering (MA/MSc)

About

Yuqing specialises in the intersection of human-computer interaction (HCI) and educational technology. Her research explores how interactive systems can enhance learning experiences, particularly in digital and blended learning environments.

She is dedicated to designing interfaces and systems that adapt to the diverse needs of learners, studying user interaction patterns, and developing intuitive design solutions.

Her recent project undertaken during her studies in Innovation Design Engineering, “SimuTrajectory”, is a tangible simulation platform designed for interventional radiologists. It facilitates intuitive training and pre-procedural planning with a focus on needle trajectory visualisation. The platform leverages physical computing, combining a digital twin with a hand-held retractable device to deliver visual and tactile feedback for interacting with virtual patient-specific models.
