Maddie Arnott
About
I am a passionate service designer with a diverse background in illustration, data communication, hospitality, and events management, bringing a multifaceted perspective to the world of service design. I am skilled in creating user-centred solutions that are both innovative and practical, rooted in thorough research and aligned with user needs. I thrive when tackling complex challenges and I am driven by a commitment to making a positive difference through thoughtful design.
At the Royal College of Art, I specialised in social impact design and creative/collaborative innovation guided by a holistic and human-centred approach. I used my time to hone my skills in different research methodologies, crafting experiences and services that drive positive social change and support communities. Service design blends my creativity with systems thinking, management skills, and a commitment to societal impact.
My recent work with the Guild of St George involved designing community-focused initiatives that exemplified my ability to blend creative and practical solutions to enhance social impact. Additionally, my collaboration with the Greener and Cleaner Charity on a sustainability app highlighted my dedication to environmental stewardship and innovation in digital solutions. I want to continue addressing complex challenges and I am deeply motivated by the opportunity to make a positive difference through thoughtful, impactful design.
For me, service design is about taking action and implementing solutions, not just discussing ideas.
