Pranali Pawar
About
Pranali is a multidisciplinary designer with a master’s in
Service design (RCA 23/24). She has over four years of diverse design experience as an industrial, experience, and visual designer. Her work spans healthcare, education, lifestyle, FMCG, and consumer products.
Previously, Pranali worked as the lead designer at a healthcare start-up in India while maintaining a successful freelance design practice. She has collaborated with numerous clients in the toy and game
design industry.
During her time at the RCA, she worked on impactful projects across social impact, sustainability, and healthcare. Two notable
projects include:
- RCA X Catch 22: Redesigning an impact measurement toolkit for Catch 22’s Personal Wellbeing services for men on probation.
- Closing the Loop – in partnership with Tazaar
(Graduation Project): Implementing the new EU regulation on Digital Product Passports to achieve a circular economy in the hi-fi audio equipment industry.
In addition to her coursework, Pranali participated in the Entrepreneurial Journey module at the Imperial Business School, working alongside MBA, engineering, and service design students to develop and pitch a new startup idea—an AI-assisted planter for enhancing the plant parenting experience. She also took part in various hackathons and sprints during her time at the RCA.
Awards and Achievements:
- Winner of Innovation Unit X Sport England Service Jam:
Infinity Champions, a service aimed at creating inclusive school environments for neurodiverse children. - Honorable mention Redesign Women’s Health Hackathon: Clinilink, a service encouraging more woman to participate in clinical trials to bridge the gender data gap in clinical trials.
