Haoting Wu

Textiles (MA)

About

I am Haoting Wu, born in China, in 1999. I’m a textile designer, specialising in print and mixed media. I am mostly motivated by occurrences in life, fabrics and prints that serve as a diary to me.

My designs create a deep relationship with colour and texture, exploring the interplay between nature, emotion, and atmosphere. Various materials and mediums emerge in my work, including dye, laser cutting, and screen/digital printing. I typically integrate and combine different materials and techniques to deliver emotion. My goal is to be driven by colour and mood, expressing the deep, hidden emotional and psychological layers that lie beneath the surface of prints.
