Minye Yue
About
Minye Yue is multidisciplinary visual artist who expresses her art work through texture, stitching, weaving, pattern making, material development and other various forms of media. Having previously worked with Byredo, Samsung, National Geographic and many more.
There is nothing inevitable in Minye Yue’s garden. Rather than merely existing, her creations thrive, and within each of their forms and gestures lie their desires and the values they have generated. She is interested in the creation of identity with new textures that she has gathered through meticulous observations of the world that surrounds her. She seek to create holistic experiences that stimulate all five senses- an experience that can actively captivate the audience.
The Naked Stem Series(Rhythm and Periodicity) is a project that expresses the tissue of a living organism, which governs creation and generation with organic vitality, through the complicated collaboration of substances and forces. The object with extremely microscopic textures extends the boundary between the macro and the micro, attempting to activate the senses. This work manifests tactile stimulation to those living in ordinary daily life and thought, visually interacting and throwing clues to the viewer’s imagination.
