About

Xueyan Shen is a textile artist and designer specialising in knitting, using yarns to capture nature and moments from her life. She advocates for a slow-paced lifestyle, aiming to create knitted artworks and home products with a timeless aesthetic.

For Xueyan, knitting is a meditative practice that fosters a deep connection between her and the yarns, serving as a form of self-healing and introspection. Her creations are sophisticatedly crafted with natural materials. These materials not only support sustainable practices but also enhance the emotional resonance between humanity and nature.

The project ‘Ro.’ explores the rustic charm of linen and paper yarns while blurring the boundary between knitting and weaving, evoking a sense of serenity and aiming to create a spiritual sanctuary for the viewers.
