Sculpture (MA)

Decorative.

Introduction

RCA Sculpture is an expansive, responsive, contemporaneous, and critically engaged programme; a discursive supportive environment in which to explore current positions for thinking about, making, understanding and presenting sculpture. This may include investigations into object production, installation, social practices and public art, spatial and conceptual practices, and performance, along with the exploration of dematerialised positions that include sound, moving image, robotics, and AI.

We support a diverse, experimental, and expansive approach to the manifestations and critical evaluation of your work. We work with our students to situate practice within the socio political and economic conditions of the globalised world; identifying how and what sculpture can contribute to current material, critical, technological, and philosophical debates.
