Painting (MA)
Introduction
RCA Painting is a world-renowned postgraduate programme committed to interrogating the meanings, forms and futures of painting in the contemporary world. Embracing painting as a material practice and way of thinking, our studio-based programme is enrichened through a varied provision of teaching, bespoke facilities, and professional development opportunities that enable our students to flourish as independent artists, researchers and thinkers. Supported by a dedicated faculty of artists and theorists and leading invited contributors, we cultivate an inclusive approach and encourage students to develop a criticality rooted in strong histories whilst affirming today’s diverse transnational and intercultural contexts.
